Last updated 1/12/23. Find information about the Jewish Enrichment Center’s COVID-19 guidelines here:
- Vaccination:
- All individuals six months and older must be fully vaccinated (including boosters, if eligible) against COVID-19 in order to participate in our on-site programming, unless they qualify for a religious or medical exemption. We know that some children under age 5 will have started their vaccine regimen but not yet be fully vaccinated at the beginning of the year.
- Masks:
- Shalom Chaverim: Effective Sunday, January 15th, 2023, masking is optional in Shalom Chaverim.
- Nursery through 12th grade: Effective Sunday, January 8th, 2023, masking is optional for all nursery through 12th grade children.
- Masks are required if a child has lingering symptoms of cold or cough and has tested negative for COVID-19, for 10 days after exposure to COVID-19, and for 10 days after COVID isolation ends for anyone who has tested positive.
- COVID Exposures:
- An exposure occurs when a child is the close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. If the child is not exposed, but a sibling or other relative is, this is not considered an exposure. If the child is determined to be a close contact of a COVID-positive individual, they should alert the Jewish Enrichment Center about the exposure and monitor for symptoms. They must have an Emergency Use Authorization-approved rapid antigen test 5-7 days following the exposure and remain masked for 10 days following the exposure to remain eligible for coming onsite. Please communicate your child’s test results to the Jewish Enrichment Center: admin@jewishenrichment.org.
- If your child tests positive for COVID-19:
- If a child tests positive for COVID-19, they will be eligible to return to the Jewish Enrichment Center after a 5 day period of isolation. In order to return, they must complete their 5 day isolation period, be fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication, and symptoms must be improving significantly. They must also mask for 10 days following their period of isolation. Please contact us at admin@jewishenrichment.org with any questions or concerns.
