Purim camp!

What a fun week of Purim camp so far! We’ve designed and made our own Purim costumes, played Megillat Esther and performed a Purim spiel, and today we’re making two different kinds of Purim treats for our se’udah (special Purim feast)! Yesterday’s spiel was a blast! From fabulous costumes to a detailed backdrop to expressive …

Celebrating Purim Together

This week, children in שׁוֹרָשִׁים (Shorashim– ‘roots’ for nursery) and שְׁתִּילִים (Shteelim– ‘saplings’ for kindergarten) have been exploring Purim together. Shalom, Purim! Part 2

The families of שָׁלוֹם חֲבֵרִים (Shalom, Chaverim! – Welcome, Friends! for ages 0 – 3 and their grown-ups) spent three fun weeks exploring the upcoming Jewish holiday of פּוּרִים (Purim), culminating in our own little celebration. Purim Is On Its Way!

Children in שׁוֹרָשִׁים (Shorashim– ‘roots’ for nursery) and שְׁתִּילִים (Shteelim– ‘saplings’ for kindergarten) are starting to get ready for Purim. A Reading of Our Own

In classic Anafim (“Branches,” for 2nd and 3rd grades) form, our room filled with the buzz of creation as all prepared for a dramatic reading of Megillat Esther (the story of Esther). We obviously needed costumes to get into character. Chag Purim Semeach (happy Purim) from Anafim to you!
