August Camp Week 2!

What a lovely start we’ve had to our second week of August Camp!

Children in the 1st-5th grade group jumped right into being kind, caring and curious with each other as we opened up our theme for the week: the story of David and Yonaton (Jonathon) from the book of Shmuel (Samuel).

They worked in teams to draw each of the characters from our story to help us keep track of who is who.

In the afternoons, we’ve had a blast getting back into building text together. Each group built a different scene from the story and included so many details from the text!

Children were so proud of their buildings and delighted in sharing them with each other. They listened carefully to each other, asked each other questions and offered compliments.

Next, we’ll work on our own productions of this story. I can’t wait to see what this group of children comes up with! It was a great way to kick off our week together.
