On Sunday and Monday of this week, children of all ages came together to celebrate Tu Bshvat, the birthday of the trees!
Days like these are where we really get to see the magic of mutli-age community in action. When we pair older children with younger children, both cohorts rise to occasion and bring their most caring, curious, thoughtful selves. Overheard around the room were things like “I want to go to the building area now, does that work for you?” Or, “Here, do you want to color in this part?”
Children built beautiful scenes out of natural materials, mixed together various dried fruits to make their own trail mix, and contributed to a community Tu Bshvat banner. What a lovely time together celebrating the trees and all they have to offer!
