This past weekend, we gathered as a whole community to celebrate our תְּשׁוּבָה (Teshuvah – Return) Theme. We thought of תְּשׁוּבָה (Teshuvah) as returning to the path we want to be on, and displayed our projects under a path with our biggest questions about תְּשׁוּבָה (Teshuvah).

How should a leader do teshuvah? How much teshuvah is enough? How do you do teshuvah at different times in your life? How much effort do you have to put into doing teshuvah? How do other people help each other do teshuvah? How do I know when to do teshuvah?
Children began by sharing their project with their grown-up, and then looking at the other projects.

Next, families went into the studio to collage about their new ideas about teshuvah. Children shared collage techniques that they had learned, and reminded their grown-up to write a short statement about their idea.

Some children visited the Teshuvah Specialists (the 1st-3rd project), and “called-in” stories and questions they had about teshuvah.

Other families went to the teshuvah hotline to talk to each other about stories and examples from their own lives.

Check out our new collages!

Come and see our installation this week or the first week of January!
