What does Shalom feel like?

In Anafim V’Alonim (“Branches” for 4th grade, and “Oak Trees” for 5th Grade), we have so many ideas about how to take care of each other, and how to feel Shalom in our community.

We began by sharing different rules for how we treat each other, and then put them into categories:

  1. Be kind
  2. Be respectful
  3. Honor our differences

Then, we began to make art inspired by our ideas of shalom and hopes for our community. We’ll hang our paintings to bring shalom into our space, and to remind us of our agreements to each other.

Children used different techniques and styles to represent feelings of Fun, Balance, and Calm.
