Pesach All The Way

There is a lot of excitement about getting ready for Pesach (Passover) in שׁוֹרָשִׁים (Shorashim– ‘roots’ for nursery) and שְׁתִּילִים (Shteelim– ‘saplings’ for kindergarten).

We tasted foods that are on the seder plate. These children tasted maror (bitter herbs)!

We have be getting ready for Pesach (Passover) by playing seder, using our 14 parts of a Seder cards to guide us. We have been playing games to help us learn the names of the foods that might be on a seder plate. We have been singing Mah Nishtana at every opportunity.

We have been hearing the book of Exodus chapters 1-15, the part about the Israelites being slaves and then being freed and building about what we heard.

We are getting ready to make our own seder plate to bring home, these children are practicing different kinds of marks they could make with different size brushes to decorate.
