Talk with a Partner

In שׁוֹרָשִׁים (Shorashim– ‘roots’ for nursery) and שְׁתִּילִים (Shteelim– ‘saplings’ for kindergarten), we are spending time working on the skill of talking with a partner. When we spend time talking to each other we can learn so much!

This time around we heard about an experience we might have had during Pesach (Passover), going to a Seder. We took turns asking each other questions about a Seder we might have been at. We discovered that some of us went to Seders with lots of people and some of went to Seders with just our family or a few friends. Some of us hosted a Seder in our homes, some of us went to a Seder at someone else’s house or at school. Many of us led songs, like Ma Nishtana (The Four Questions) and many of us looked for the Afikomen.

I am really proud of the way children were using kind words with and listening to each other. I can’t wait to see how continuing to talk with a partner will let us hear and share ideas!
