Misloach Manot

Last week in Shorashim/Shteelim (‘Saplings’ for Kindergarten), one of the ways we played Purim is making and delivering מִשְׁלוֹחַ מָנוֹת (Mishloach Manot– Giving Gifts of Food to Friends)! This week we made real מִשְׁלוֹחַ מָנוֹת (Mishloach Manot– Giving Gifts of Food to Friends) to deliver to people in our building that help take care of us.

The children made the decisions about who they wanted make the מִשְׁלוֹחַ מָנוֹת (Mishloach Manot– Giving Gifts of Food to Friends) for.

The children decorated the bags with fruit, and letters from the aleph-bet (the Hebrew alpha-bet).

We filled the bag with yummy things.

We brought the מִשְׁלוֹחַ מָנוֹת (Mishloach Manot– Giving Gifts of Food to Friends) to deliver to people who work in the office, and no one was there! We quietly left the bags for the people to find.
