Deepening each other’s ideas in Anafim v’Alonim

What a week it has been in Beit Anafim v’Alonim (branches” and “oak trees” for 4th and 5th grades).  All the deep and thoughtful question asking, ideas and artwork that have developed over this theme are just… EXTRAORDINARY!!

This week children did some serious and focused planning for their projects to share with the community at Family Exploration and Celebration. The room is really buzzing with excitement.

Looking and responding to each other’s work at the end of a session.

In addition to children planning out how they want to show their ideas around לְהִתְפַּלֵל (l’hitpalel) , they are helping each other.

“How do you blow into the straw to get a perfect circle?”

“How did you do that thing with the paint?” Modeling how to manipulate certain materials to create a “really cool” visual effect. Offering examples or ideas to one another to help deepen each others understanding of לְהִתְפַּלֵל (l’hitpalel) .  This has been present throughout the theme, so awesome.

“How do I draw a brain?! Oh… I’ll find a tutorial!”

I know the offering of different art skills and ideas that has been shared throughout the theme will continue as we enter this phase of projects!
