Remember when I said that first grade Nitzanim were hard at work growing their skills for working with a partner? This gorgeous collaboration continues!
Let me be clear… I’m celebrating children working next to each other and sharing materials. It’s so much more! Children are discussing ideas, planning together, and negotiating differences of opinion. Everywhere I turn, there’s evidence of collaboration. Take a look!
These three are dividing up the tasks as they build a scene together. They found a way to incorporate ideas from each child into one shared scene.
“I’ll make the song books.” “I’ll decorate the Temple.” “I’ll make musical notes.”
While these three are holding each other accountable for Hebrew learning during zeman Ivrit (Hebrew time).
“It’s your turn. Don’t forget to say the sound!”
These two are finding solutions together and making suggestions.
“I have an idea. What if we do it like this?”
And these three are offering each other resources to help.
“Do you need an alef bet chart?”
What a collaborative community you’re building, Nitzanim!
