Tu B’Shevat is a special holiday for young children. The past two weeks in Shalom Chaverim have been all about exploring trees, growing things, and planting.
Look at all of the wonderful things we did! There were trees to count, to touch, and to press into play dough.
We even built our own trees using natural materials.
We explored trees through artistic media as well, creating our own beautiful, colorful and unique collages featuring many of the colors we observed on trees.
There were songs to sing, and stories to share, and lots of different ideas about the things we do with and get from trees. The children were particularly enthusiastic about exploring some real fruit from trees.
