Investigating Our New Theme

This week, Anafim took our first look at our new theme, לְהִתְפַּלֵל (L’hitpalel). To begin our exploration, we took on the role of anthropologists. We looked closely at pictures and videos of people לְהִתְפַּלֵל (L’hitpalel) and recorded all the things that we noticed and all of the questions that we had about לְהִתְפַּלֵל (L’hitpalel).

After a few rounds of close observation, comparison, and questioning, we had some initial hypotheses about what לְהִתְפַּלֵל (L’hitpalel) might mean to someone. We thought it might be about things that are calm, peaceful, or quiet. Or it could be meditation, yoga, singing, or any time where people are concentrating really hard.

Next, we spent some time exploring what these first ideas of לְהִתְפַּלֵל (L’hitpalel) mean to us. The result was some moving representations and reflections on when we feel calm, peaceful, or relaxed.
