Exploring the Torah in Shalom Chaverim

The zero-three year olds in Shalom Chaverim have been busy exploring the Torah together with their grown ups. What does it look like for toddlers to learn about the Torah?

It looks like sensory exploration– touching the soft Torah cover, and exploring real ritual objects with all of our senses.

We examined a real Yad together and drew what we observed.

It looks like having a chance to interact with a real Torah– to take care of it together, and to look inside closely. We are observing and noticing and sharing what we see!

What’s in there?

We found Hebrew letters!

We are exploring Hebrew letters from the Torah in other ways too– we are finding them around the room, creating art with Hebrew letters.
