This week there were sukkot everywhere you looked in Shalom Chaverim! We read stories and books about building a sukkah, and then we set out to create our own.
Some children chose to build a sukkah with blocks and natural materials. We checked to see if we could see any stars through the leaves and branches.
The sukkah building didn’t stop when we left the block area, though! We formed lots of sukkot together– with magnetic tiles (and toy animal friends to sit inside), with popsicle sticks, with leaves and branches.
We also worked together to create our own decorations for a sukkah– we are so excited to visit a real sukkah together!
