Laila tov!

This week in Shalom Chaverim we began explorations surrounding a new unit– Laila Tov (“good night!”)

We had the opportunity to practice saying “laila tov” to one another and to stuffed animals and other friendly toys and creatures.

We formed Hebrew letters from play dough that looked like the sky during the laila– and even found the letters to form “Laila tov.”

Then, the children created their own version of what the shamayim (sky) looks like during the laila by making marks on black paper and adding their own kochavim (stars.)

We explored what we do at laila many different ways– children explored many different images of children at laila, and said “laila tov” to the images as we buried them.
