In Shalom Chaverim this week we are preparing to say “Happy Birthday” to the trees when we celebrate Tu B’Shevat. The children had many opportunities to touch and feel and explore things that grow.
There were blocks and leaves for counting and building trees of our own.
Last week the children planted grass seeds– and today our cups of dirt looked quite a bit different. The clear cups allowed us to examine the roots and shoots of our plants that were growing.
Children even had the opportunity to touch and explore and even peel different foods that come from trees.
The children also had the opportunity to explore trees through art. Children painted and glued and created together while observing some real growing plants.
