This week in Shalom Chaverim was all about preparing for Tu B’Shevat.
The children had the opportunity to explore trees with all of our senses. There were trees to touch and feel and smash into play dough.
Then there were pictures of trees and pieces of real trees hiding under dirt in the sensory table for burying and unearthing again and again.
We are working together to grow some real seeds. Together we painted pots, and then set to work planting some real seeds– filling our cups with dirt, sprinkling in seeds, and pouring in some water. We are hoping to get to watch roots and shoots appear over the coming weeks in preparation for Tu B’Shevat.
We can’t wait to see what’s growing next Sunday together!
