Our minds are so different! The ideas we share are different from other children’s ideas.
In Nitzanim, we’re beginning to wrestle with the ways that each person in our community is unique. We’ll continue to explore what it means to be a community of different minds and faces, but here are some of our ideas:
Noticing differences in her face before she begins sculpting with playdoh.
Morah Sara: What are some amazing ways that someone is different from you?
Girl 1: You think different. You do things different. You act different. And we have all different faces, and right now we all have something different in our minds.
Boy 1: That everybody chose a different spot in the circle.
Boy 2: People have different minds, faces, everything.
Girl 2: Their eyes and their hair.
Girl 3: And their clothes.
Girl 4: I like to write what I think. Boy 1 likes to draw [what he thinks].
Girl 1: I noticed that when Girl 5, Girl 3, and me were working, we all had different things that we were drawing.
Boy 3: Some people like to play sports.
“I like to write what I think. Boy 1 likes to draw [what he thinks].”
