After a few weeks away from each other, it was so nice to be back together as a community this week. With פסח (Pesach-Passover) just a few days away, there was a lot to do in Shorashim to get ready. During משחקים (Mischakim-games) we made sure we really remembered the items on the Seder plate through multiple different relay races and continued this with special פסח (Pesach-Passover) memory and go fish cards in Beit Shorashim. Shorashimers also finished the third step in their Seder plates they created to take home and use.
Shorashimers also got to experience a special mock Seder to get ready for פסח (Pesach-Passover) this week. We went over the order of the seder together, and then did our own mini version which included four cups of grape juice, dipping our כרפס (Carpas-parsley) into saltwater, singing the Ma Nishtana together, sampling Matzah, Maror, and Charoset, searching for the Afikomen, and looking through different versions of Haggadah’s. Our Seder brought so much joy and we all left feeling so excited to share what we did and maybe even celebrate our own Seders at home. Chag Pesach Sameach!
