This week the children in Shalom Chaverim were hard at work making and exploring groggers.
Children tried out a variety of noisemakers and explored all the ways we can make sound with our bodies and instruments.
Then there were our own groggers to make. Our fine motor skills have come a long way this year! The children exercised complete control over what objects we dropped into our groggers to make a sound. Some children very carefully selected each piece of pasta, jingle bell, and bead individually, while others filled up their cups as full as they possibly could.
There were a lot of focused, intent expressions in the room as children worked on this project!
We can’t wait to use our groggers to drown out Haman’s name!
