Purim in Nitzanim

We only spent a few days exploring Purim in Nitzanim, but boy, did we have fun!

We acted out the Purim story, and we LOVED the fancy costumes. We practiced listening to each other and sharing ideas.

We made signs for the beginning of the Hebrew month of אדר (Adar) to encourage people to be happy. Purim is a time of joy, and traditionally, we start bringing in this joy when Adar comes. These posters helped us review the Purim story and fit right into our year-long exploration of the Jewish calendar. One of our favorite scenes to draw was Haman leading Mordecai through the streets of Shushan.

We listened to storybooks about Purim.

And, we made lots and lots of hamantashen!
