Traveling to Shushan for Purim

This week in the Shorashim classroom, we packed our bags (and our stuffed animals and pillows) and took a trip to the walled city of Shushan, in Persia, where the story of Purim took place.

After hearing the story of Purim told several ways (as an oral story with puppets and through different storybooks), the children decided they wanted to travel to Shushan themselves. While we were there, some of the children pretended to be Queen Esther and King Ahasuerus.
