Things in שׁוֹרָשִׁים (Shorashim– ‘roots’ for nursery) and שְׁתִּילִים (Shteelim– ‘saplings’ for kindergarten) have been really busy as we have been getting ready for Pesach (Passover). Children practiced the Hebrew words for seder plate foods, tasted seder plate foods, sang songs, and hosted pretend play sedarim.

The children are very excited about the seder plates that they each designed that could be used at a פֶּסַח (Pesach-Passover) celebration.

There were many steps:

Watercolor painting with pipettes:

Acrylic sponge painting:

Adding gems:

Adding the words for the foods on the Seder plate words and paint pen designs:

Decorating boxes with a color palette of our choosing:

I can’t wait to hear about how the children use their seder plates with their families after פֶּסַח (Pesach-Passover)!
